I have been looking at various lounge chair designs and finally convinced myself to make one yesterday. Two features I am interested in working on for the design of this project are repeating the same angles to give the chair some character as well as trying upholstered seats. I admit the seats very well may end up just being cushions on slats, but for now, upholstered is the plan.
I started with
One of the first pieces of furniture I have ever made was a pair of kitchen stools from scrap redwood, walnut cut offs and some Mango. 6 years or so on, I’m ready for a new set with a bit more of my skills showcased.
The thought is for the stools to be for a kitchen counter, but then I thought they would look really nice as a patio set as well, so I added a table with matching style.
Let me know if this fits what you want, I’d love to make this project happen.
I’ve got three different sets of legs on the stools that I’ve sketched up, but I haven’t settled on my favorite yet.
